Punjab government takes ‘authoritative control’ of theological school accepted to be JeM base camp.
The inside service on Friday reported that the Punjab government has taken managerial control of a mosque-and-theological school complex in Bahawalpur that is accepted to have been the home office of the prohibited Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM).
The grounds has a 70-in number personnel and 600 understudies enlisted.
As indicated by a representative from the service: “The Legislature of Punjab has assumed control over the control of a grounds containing Madressatul Sabir and Jama-e-Masjid Subhanallah in Bahawalpur, allegedly the central command of Jaish-e-Mohammad, and named an overseer to deal with its undertakings.”
Punjab police has assumed control security of the grounds, the representative included.
A consequent articulation issued by the inside service’s representative clarified that albeit Indian news sources are connecting the Bahawalpur complex to a JeM preparing focus, the office is “simply a madressah and Jamia Masjid (focal mosque) where scores of vagrants and understudies from underprivileged families are getting religious and common training”.
